SPARC Arts Education

The SPARC arts education program leverages the power of the arts to help K-12 students learn about culture, community, and social justice from their classroom. Each arts workshop encourages students to consider their role in community, and to imagine how they can inspire change in their school, neighborhood, city, and world.

Our pedagogy emerges from a 40-year history of creating public artworks that empower diverse communities and advance social movements. SPARC educators develop innovative curriculum that align with California State Standards and Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) Standards for each grade level. Our curriculum engages students in reimagining our world through art.
